I think sports cause the country to enter a state where people rely more on brawn then brains. People like myself are not respected in modern society because I'm not physically fit, even though I'm a lot smarter than most of the people I've ever met.
Also, I've found that "jocks" tend to be much more prone to turning to violence.

It's usually people who play them. People who watch sports rarely have that Testosterone overdose. You get the same thing with Military personnel.

I don't watch sports because their very existence leads to several flaws in society. I especially hate the fact that people get paid more for playing games than for fighting to defend our country.

Because it's just not my thing.
Why do some people not like doing the things that I like doing?
Just because they don't.
It conflicts with my personality. I'm not a very physically active person. It's just not fun to me to either watch or do. I'm more into talking and intellectual discussion.

i really like sports, so i can't answer this. but now with steroids and PEDs, its hard to watch sports without wondering who's actually good and who's just artificially enhanced

I love watching sports, but I can understand why some ppl won't watch sports. I have a friend who told me that sports are trivial and he watches the politics more. He also said that since sports don't have an impact on the world, he watches the politics more because of that reason....

HA! Yearbook facts, always good for a laugh.
But the fact that they're POPULAR does not mean they're important. Look at 90's boy bands. They were immensely popular back then, but now you rarely even hear about them, because they're not important. Unfortunately, I feel sports are too much of an influence. When you can get college diplomas by being good at sports instead of the subject you're "studying", that's a problem.

And I believe that entertainment is really important in our lives.
Sports also can impact some people's lives.

Alright, continue arguing that physical prowess is more important than intellectual. When the world goes down in a ball of fire, you can play sports and distract yourself from it, while people like me search for ways to fix everything.
GAH.
End frustration.
