Some of my current favorite games are Chess, Go, Monopoly, and Stratego. When I was younger, I used to be a fan of many other games such as Chutes and Ladders. However, they've gotten a bit old for me.
I haven't played Clue that much, so I can't remember what the game was like.

I used to play SORRY when I was younger. Now, hardly ever. Out of curiosity, what versions of Monopoly are your favorites? Mine is the Astronomy version.

It's monopoly with an astronomy theme. For instance, the board center has a constellation map, and the places where you "buy houses" are really places where you "buy stars."

Pokemon Sorry? Wow, that must have been pretty cool. I don't play board games that much either (blame school). Of course, I'm more than willing to talk about them.

Outside > Video Game
But anyway, I do agree that board games have become somewhat of a lost hobby.
Say, anyone try some table-top RPG's like Dungeons and Dragons? I think that qualifies as a board game. I haven't played a game of that in years, though.

Dungeons and Dragons is basically a fantasty role-playing game but played on a table (which is why it's often called a tabletop RPG). You play with at least 2 players, but the more you have the better except when you get to about 5-6 players. One person creates a storyline with different obstacles and choices for the other players to make. This player is often called the Dungeon Master. The other players control characters who maneuver through the virtual world of the storyteller with their own units that have experience, hit point, and other values. Those players constitute the "party" of characters and try to reach the objective the Dungeon Master has for them. Check the Wikipedia page for Dungeons and Dragons to learn more ( here).

It does...this is one of the reasons why I don't really play. It would be nice if there could be a "pause" button in the world to actually finish one of those games and not get distracted by other things in life.
Dungeons and Dragons also comes with several hard-cover 300 page reference books.

Yeah, definitely. I was really amused by what the people wrote in the beginning: Do not read through this entire book. It's meant as a reference book. It's not a novel.
