I wish we just had a button on the home screen that we could press, and it would show new replies in the threads that we have posted in, because sometimes i forget which threads i posted in

The closest thing that this forum software can provide is the "bookmark" thread feature. So if you post in any thread, click the "bookmark" feature and then the next time you log back on, you can go to PROFILE -> BOOKMARKS and see the list of bookmarked threads. You can tell if a thread/topic you've posted in has had additional replies if there is a "NEW" icon to the left of the topic title.
