Yankees all the way baby. I strongly believe that Mo is a better closer than Pap. Jeter is the better SS than either Lugo or Lowrie. A-Rod is not gonna play for a while, but once he's back, he's definitely better than Lowell. Both can get hurt though. Cano has good upside. I wouldn't quickly jump the bandwagon when talking about Pedroia. He had one good season and now people are saying he's the best 2nd baseman??? Gotta wait for 2 or 3 more seasons to find out more about him. Ellsbury is fast, but inconsistent and Damon has a better BA than him. Damon is fast too and can hit HRs. Gardner is mad fast and can make good catches. Who cares about his bat? They got 8 other guys who can hit. Nady is a solid hitter who hit above .300 and got more than 20 HRs last year. Posada and Varitek are both veterans who have been around for a while. But Jorge is the better backstop. He has the better offense and Varitek is limited in playing time because of the presence of Tim Wakefield. And oh yeah, Yanks acquired a guy named Mark Teixeira who can hit HRs and bat clean-up and be a beast when A-Rod is out. Tex is more of a presence than Youk- I mean pitchers are more cautious around him than Youk. I will discuss pitchers in my next post .

Mo had surgery and we dont no how well he can recover. Cano is really bad player. Yea Pedroia needs a couple of seasons 2 prove tht he is elite, but he is way better than Cano.
Damon is getting old and his body is runnin down. It does matter tht Gradner cant hit. They dont have 8 other guys tht can hit consistantly. maybe 3 or 4 tht can do tht. Posada's arm is really bad. Lots of SB's on him this year.
Tex has about the same stats as Youk, so they r even in tht category. Youk strikes out way less tho.Youk makes less errors 2. 26 to 39.

First of all, Mo is STILL better. He posted a better ERA last year and was more consistent. He was nearly perfect. And in spring training he said he felt 'great'. That sounds good for NY.
Did you see Cano's stats in 2006? That was probably not the best he could do. His BA was really high and higher than Pedroia's and Cano still has a career BA of over .300. So I wouldn't quickly say Pedroia is better.
If you say that's important that Gardner needs to hit, then I can say Ellsbury's bat suck and is incosistent. So is Lugo's. We need to wait and see what Bay can do against better pitching in the AL East for a full year.
For pitching, I don't care how much CC sucks in the playoffs. He could do well this year in the postseason. Stats are just stats. He can win in the regular season. A.J. has a fire lit under him after last year, and he'll do good this year, probably around 17 wins. Both CC and AJ strike out a lot of batters, which is good. Joba can strike out too and he has experience being a starter. He even posted a good ERA while being a starter last year. Pettitte is better than Wake. Don't care how good knuckleballers are, Wake is old and inconsistent. Wang is coming back from an injury, yes, but that doesn't mean he will suck this year. I'm looking at at least 15 wins and a 3.50 ERA from him this year. That is fair enough for a no. 3 starter.

Then we need 2 see Nady's first full AL year.
AJ is injure prone and career .500 pitcher. Joba wont do good when teams figure him out (like Indians) Pettitte is old 2. CC last year stunk in the AL he dominated the NL not AL. Red Sox have way more depth than Yanks.

Oh now I see it lol.
Lugo sucks. Lowrie is too young to determine how good he is.
Idc how many no-nos Tek caught. He hasn't caught one in a while, so that tells you he is declining real quick right now. His BA is so horrible.
Yankees have better OFs than Boston. Also Yankees have a good farm system with lots of young arms and batters who can fill in holes if needed.

Let's see.. both Ellsbury and Gardner aren't the best hitters out there. They're both fast. Nady has more power than Drew. He is less injury-prone than Drew too. Damon hits for average and has better speed than Bay. Back up Cabrera and Austin Jackson are both really fast and Cabrera has a good arm. Jackson can steal 40 bases in a year if he's a regular player. They both have lots of upside and both of them are just under 25 years old. Nady isn't 30 yet either. Gardner is 25 years old. Damon is the only outfielder who is over 30 years of age. Drew is already over 30. Bay is coming up to his 30's.

Wang is coming back from an injury, yes, but that doesn't mean he will suck this year. I'm looking at at least 15 wins and a 3.50 ERA from him this year. That is fair enough for a no. 3 starter. 32.50 ERA in three starts. Yea it is the beginning of the season, but right now they should make him go down into triple A and bring up someone.
