Since DAMNIT isn't on anymore, I'll start up a new contest.
This contest is called the "All-Star Game" contest. In this contest, you'll pick the starting line-up for the MLB all-star game, based on players' stats so far this year. Pick line-ups for each league, with all 8 position players plus a pitcher (starting pitcher). Then pick 4 more starting pitchers for each league, and also select 3 closers/relievers for the game.
THEN, after you have chosen a back-up for each position, you will have filled out 24 out of the 32 slots. From this point on, you will fill out the rest of the slots, but here's a catch: YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE THAT EVERY TEAM IN THE MAJORS HAVE AT LEAST ONE PLAYER REPRESENTED FOR THAT TEAM! This is a rule that the MLB made for the All-Star game.
Then once the All-Star game begins, we'll see how many picks we got right.
Here's another catch: YOU CANNOT LOOK AT MLB.COM FOR VOTING UPDATES WHILE MAKING YOUR PICKS!!! This would be considering cheating, in my opinion.
Enjoy the contest! Please just send me a PM with your picks. It should look like this:
AL
Catcher- Player 1
1st baseman- Player 2
2nd baseman- Player 3
3rd baseman- Player 4
SS- Player 5
LF- Player 6
CF- Player 7
RF- Player 8
Starting Pitcher- Player 9
And so on and on, make sure you select a total of 7 other pitchers; 4 starting pitchers with a total of 5 starting pitchers (if you count the starting pitcher of the game) and 3 closers/relievers. Be sure to do this for the other league too.
Should be 32 players for each league with: 8 starting position players and at least 8 back-up players- at least one back-up player for each position, at least 5 starting pitchers and at least 3 relievers. Be sure NOT to exceed the 32 player limit.
Deadline for your picks is Sunday July 5th @ NOON!!!
