I think that it's because sites like to have skins on for a while so members get used to them. I would give a rough estimate that members like to have skins on for about a year before they get bored of it.

Starting next week, I will hopefully start the process of obtaining images for our next version. Please be aware that this means I am just going to start gathering images - the actual skin will come a lot later.

Okay, good to know there's interest.  Hopefully this skin can be done before summer ends, so when we're finally ready to use it, I can just "install" the skin with several clicks. |

I'm just saying that ik before that if we had too many skins the site would lag and idk if it that still happends and if it does then will a big skin cause the same affect

October 22nd?  You did remember,  I was thinking about a white and lighter skin. Some say darkness brings more people, but that's not absolutely true. I'd just say having a lighter skin. EDIT: 3-D? I loathe it. |

Well it might actually look cool. And if you want a lighter skin, then switch to the default skin. It has a white background, and I find it as a nice change-of-pace to the darker ones we are accustomed to seeing right now. I've been using it for a while before switching to a different one. |

I like the futuristic feel of this one. Sticking would the futuristic looking layouts make the forum look really cool! Even something like this: (Not necessarily the same thing or same colors, I like the feel to it: overcomersgfx.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=sfc) (and I'm talking about the main layout, not any of the ones that are provided ) |
