I read how to kill a mockingbird like in the 8th grade and i really enjoyed that book. it was very powerful, like daniel said. I just finished reading "Keeper" and it was a pretty good book, lots of it was about soccer (for global class). now, for english, im reading romeo and juliet. In the past in this english class, i also read of mice and men (was ok), speak, and house on mango street. for free reading, im TRYING to start brisingr, but i always put it off. also i recently bought several alex rider books maybe ill start them soon. Alex Rider books are pretty good. But "Romeo and Juliet" ... man that is tough to read directly without some help because of the old English.

I'm now re-reading Lord of the Flies. I didn't really understand much of the book the first time I read it, since I was so young.

I read sports news mostly on the internet lol.
But for summer AP work, I have to read "A World Lit Only By Fire" by William Manchester. I also have to take notes on it, as there will be a quiz on the first day of school on the whole book. Hopefully it'll be an open-notebook quiz. Or else I'm screwed.

Actually, I got a similar workload over the summer, but when I got back to school, I had a test, not a quiz.

How is that book? For me, I also have a summer book to read. It's called A Prayer for Owen Meany and it's for AP English Literature. I've read about 1 chapter, lol.

I finished Peeps by Scott Westerfeld not too long ago and fell in love with it...vampires portrayed in a scientific light...there's not much to hate in it XD Currently I'm reading Leviathan, also by Westerfeld, and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. WWI done steampunk...'nuff said XP Summer: So many books O.O but mainly 1) re-reading The hunger games (loved it) 2)Catching fire 3)Mockingjay when it comes out >w< 4)Megatokyo 6 whenever thats here 5)Max Ride: Fang (hopefully better than both the last warning and Max TT^TT that murdered the series) 6)Incarceron by Catherine Fisher (hopefully) 7)Graceling by Kristin Cashore 8)Fire...also by Kristin Cashore 9)The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown 10)Zig-Zag and whatever I get from flamingnet XD yes I'm an avid reader...I just don't find a lot of time to read anymore TT^TT But I have a growing list of books to read thats around 32 books right now >.>
