As you two are aware, of course, I will be joining track. This will be my second season of outdoor track, with my first being last year. Last year, I was a sprinter, but this year, I am converting to long-distance. I want to try something different for a change and I'm also hoping that the increased running distance that I run will assist me during my senior year as a member of the varsity soccer team.
The first practice is on March 2nd! Only 2 days!

YES. And in fact I was one to persuade Dan Tak to convert to long-distance events. I hope he does well. This is my first year doing outdoors. I ran XC running in the fall for the last 3 years, so I should do well in track,a lthough a sprained ankle may slow me down a bit Remember, first practice meets at the East Gym!

Yeah, practice today was pretty easy, although that's to be expected since it's the first day. Don't expect such an easy ride in the next few weeks, especially since it's preseason where we really need to get in shape.

Yeah I guess.. today's practice was all right. I got a 8.3 time on the 60 meter dash though. And I climbed higher than any of you guys

I got an 8.6 on my 60 meter dash. Either I was dead tired that day*, or I made the right decision to be a distance runner for this season.
* Blame school and homework. ;D

Lol don't be so sure of that . Anyways do we HAVE to buy those warm-up jackets, sweatpants, and shorts?

Warm-ups aren't required.
Shorts ARE. We need to look like a team, don't we?

The only attire that is required is your uniform. A top and a bottom.

Yeah, I wasn't really good in the 60 meter. I had 8.6 seconds. At least I beat the guy I was racing (we were in groups of 2).
My best 100 meter time for last season was something like 13.3 seconds.
