Hey, first post of the brand new Books forum! ;D What are your favorite books or series? For me, that would include the Darren Shan series (Cirque du Freak), Harry Potter series, and various comic books such as Calvin and Hobbes, which is unfortunately defunct.

It's not possible to move posts, sorry. Maybe this will be implemented in version 5 of ProBoards (this is version 4).
Anyway, what are your favorite books? You haven't mentioned yet.

Oh I like the Artemis Fowl Series and the Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Also the Cirque Du Freak series (last book sucked) Calvin and Hobbes (how can u not like those???) Umm a dragon series by Chris d' Lacy, Downsiders by Neal Shusterman, some William Sleator books, and lots more.
wht was ur opinion of the Cirque du Freak Series?

Best ... story ... ever ... (well, tied, because I like Harry Potter equally well).
I read the first few Artemis Fowl series. They were pretty interesting, but failed to have that hook on me like the Cirque du Freak series did. Maybe I should go and read more since I'm not really familiar with Shusterman and Sleator.

All the books tht the schools make us read r BORING. Only 1 or 2 r good. The Harry Potter books were boring 4 me, but ppl say i should try it again. The Percy Jackson and Olympian series was recommended by my middle school librarian.
I hated the last book of the Cirque du Freak. Was so boring.

I LOVED Cirque Du Freak. Read 'em in middle school. I read all of the harry potter books, but only because I started them and I always finish what I start.
I read the Wheel of Time series, the Sword of Truth series, and the Coldfire Trilogy, which is my favorite!
I read the first Artemis Fowl, back when it was the only one in the series.

When I was little i remember tht i used 2 love the Jigsaw Jones and Magic Tree House Series. 1 was about a 2nd grade detective solving mysteries and the other was about a Magic Tree House tht take 2 siblings (Jack and Annie) 2 different places where they go on lots of adventures.

When I was younger, I always read the Magic Treehouse Books. I liked them until I got older and got sick of them lol. Then in 6th grade my LA/SS teacher (probably my favorite teacher all-time) recommended me to read the Cirque Du Freak series. I read the first couple and got addicted. One time I believe, during that summer, I actually read 3 books in 4 days. I was so addicted to it. But the last book wasn't really the best. There could've been a better ending to it.
I also enjoyed reading the whole Harry Potter series. I also enjoy reading sports stories from retired athletes and I started the Lord of the Rings triology, but I didn't continue. I might read those books over the summer.... and I also started Artemis Fowl but I got bored of it. The Supernaturalist was a good book, though (written by the same author who wrote Artemis Fowl series).

It took me a lot longer to read them, mostly because I started before they were all in print.
combined total, I think they took me about 2 days.

Same here, my teacher recommended Cirque du Freak but they were in print so I read the first 11 instantly but I had to WAIT an insanely long time to get the last one. I ended up ordering on Amazon.com to get the British copy.

well, I have a bad habit of looking at things logically, so no, I did not like the ending.
don't want to spoil it for anybody who hasn't read it though.
